The Board of Directors shall determine the number of these Memberships that may be available each year.   Membership Dues are not prorated.

New Membership 

Family Trial Membership ($1450/year)

Only available for new families for their 1st year.  Family Membership shall consist of an adult person or couple and the children of that person or couple aged 25 or younger. The privileges of membership shall extend to the parents of such adult person or couple residing in the same household.  Additional family members not meeting the criteria will be required to apply for a separate membership. Work obligation plus possible pool sitting night.    Work obligation hours will be determined before the beginning of each season by the Board of Directors.  Family Trial membership comes with all of the benefits and work obligations as bonded family members, except voting rights at the annual meeting.  Also included in family membership are youth swim lessons and tennis lessons.  Youth swim Team and Tennis Team have a nominal charge for participation. 

Families wishing to return for another season after a trial membership will need to become a fully bonded member (see Family Membership After Trial Year).


Adult Single Membership ($700/year)

Membership shall consist of an adult person aged 21 years or older. The privileges of membership shall extend only to the single member.  Work obligation plus possible pool sitting night.    Work obligation hours will be determined before the beginning of each season by the Board of Directors. 


Adult Couple Membership ($925/year) 

Membership shall consist of an adult couple residing in the same household. The privileges of membership shall extend to the couple only.  Work obligation plus possible pool sitting night.    Work obligation hours will be determined before the beginning of each season by the Board of Directors. 


Junior Sports Membership ($485/year) 

Shall consist of a member, aged 13 through 18 years of age and the summer after their senior year in High School.  

Each participant must have their own membership, even if a part of the same family.  The Board of Directors shall determine the number of Junior Sport Memberships that may be available each year. The Junior Sport Member must participate on the Minnechaug Swim and/or Tennis Team (providing age and skill requirements for these teams are also met). Non-participation on a team, shall terminate the Junior Sport Membership.

The Junior Sport Membership is valid only during team hours and/or team activities. Privileges of the pool and tennis courts are not extended to the teen or the teen’s family.   Junior Sports Member parents will be expected to support the swim and tennis teams in the same way that family member parents are required to do so.  There are no guest privileges with this membership.

Family Membership After Trial Year - Bond Required

Family Membership ($1,450/year plus one time bond payment)

Current Members - Transition Options

Recreation Membership ($940/year)

 The privileges of membership exclusive of swim team, swim lessons, tennis team and tennis lessons.  The use of swimming and tennis facilities shall extend to them, and to others in the immediate family residing in the same household, including any relatives living with the family.   Membership may be extended only those with current Family Memberships in good standing with at least 5 years of continuous membership.  If current Members transition to this membership, they will no longer have voting rights and they will relinquish their bond to the club. Work obligation plus possible pool sitting night.    Work obligation hours will be determined before the beginning of each season by the Board of Directors. 

Honorary Membership (50% of full Family Membership Rate)

Families that have attained 15 years of continuous Family Membership will enjoy all Family Membership rights (including voting rights) at a reduced rate of of a full family membership rate.  Eligibility is determined by the years of Membership as of September 30 of current Member Year, excluding any Leave of Absence(s).  One may never become a Honorary Member if their membership is changed to any other Non Family Membership.  Members who meet the requirements of Honorary status must submit in writing a request to transition to Honorary status.  It shall be the obligation of the membership committee to confirm eligibility for Honorary Membership Status.  

Junior Membership ($600/year) 

Shall consist of a member, aged 13 through 19 years of age, who has been a member of Minnechaug in good standing, through an existing Family Membership for Five (5) or more years.  This membership includes all members of a single family household within the age requirements.  Eligibility is based on seniority. The privileges of Junior Membership shall include use of the pool, tennis courts, lessons (tennis and swim) and social events. The member will be given the opportunity to be on the Minnechaug Swim Team and/or Tennis Team (providing age and skill requirements for these teams are also met). Any additional fees to be a part of the team will need to be paid.

Privileges of the pool, tennis courts etc. will not be extended to the Junior Member's family members or parents, however parent will be expected to support the swim and tennis teams in the same way that family member parents are required to do so.  (This also includes the social events with regards to the Swim and Tennis teams).

In lieu of work hours and pool sitting, the member is to perform a minimum of 4 hours of community service at the pool (i.e. social events for children, special projects) approved by the Board.  The member will be held to the same Rules of Conduct as Family Members. The Junior Membership is valid only during hours the lifeguards are on duty.  There are no guest privileges with this membership.  There is no bond payment required for this membership.

Membership Types, Fees and Dues are subject to change during the Annual Meeting in November of Each Year.
